CSR Contribution: Yayasan Yaacob & NMUC Support Child Welfare at Rumah Perlindungan Kanak-Kanak Johor
On 7 May 2026, representatives from Yayasan Yaacob together with NMUC conducted a meaningful visit to Rumah Perlindungan Kanak-Kanak Johor, Jalan Mariamah Petrie where we contributed essential food supplies to support the well-being of the children residing at the shelter.
Currently, the home provides care for 30 children, ranging in age from newborns to 12 years old, comprising both boys and girls. The facility is fully funded by the Johor state government and operates under the supervision of the Department of Social Welfare at the federal level.
The Yayasan Yaacob and NMUC delegation was warmly received by the Principal Puan NorAzah Binti Hj Asmawi, who expressed her sincere appreciation for the contribution and support. She also highlighted that Rumah Perlindungan Kanak-Kanak Johor welcomes continuous engagement from external parties and encourages organizations such as Yayasan Yaacob to participate in activities and developmental programs for the children.
The shelter is supported by a dedicated team of 15 staff members, working on rotational shifts to ensure that the children receive round-the-clock care, attention, and support.
Owned by the Johor state government, the facility remains committed to providing a safe, nurturing, and supportive environment that promotes the well-being and development of every child under its care. Yayasan Yaacob committed to have future visit to this shelter as part of our CSR activities
